We would like to introduce you to the historic Miami River Inn, Miami's only Bed & Breakfast! Location is the key to the Miami River Inn. Centrally located across the Miami River from downtown Miami, the only historic inn in Miami is an oasis in the heart of Miami. Built between 1906-1913 as private homes, the "compound" consists of five three-story, wooden cottages surrounding a pool and Jacuzzi in a lush tropical setting full of flowers, soaring palms, and other native greenery. All forty rooms (38 with private baths) are individually decorated with antiques and period pieces. Lace curtains, hardwood floors, and painted ceilings outline the rooms with brass, wood, and wicker furniture filling in the rest. Guest can take a first-floor room with a porch that opens to the garden area or choose a room on the second or third floors with a view to the east overlooking the river and downtown. Room amenities include color-cable TV, touch-tone telephones, central air and heat, and ceiling fans. Included on the property are also furnished one & two bedroom apartments which can be rented on weekly, monthly, or extended stays. All are furnished with modern kitchens, color-cable TV, central air/heat, off street parking. We also have conference and meeting facilities for 5 to 50 people available for luncheons, business meetings, parties, weddings-- usually done outside in the garden on a beautiful sunny day. Miami River Inn is truly a special place, where once through the wrought-iron gates, one travels almost a century in time with one step!
